Javier Goyeneche is founder of the sustainable fashion brand ECOALF. Established in 2009, the brand introduces a new generation of products all made from recycled materials (like fishing nets, bottles or coffee grounds). Their aim is to design with the same quality, aesthetic and technical properties of the best products that are made from non-recycled materials but instead with alternative textiles. In this way ECOALF wants to show that there is no need to exploit our natural resources. After having done extensive research, the brand developed new fabrics, linings, tapes, soles, tags and laces for their first collection, all of them made from recycled materials. Visit their website or store in Madrid to learn more about them.
ECOALF is associated with the concept of “Tras(h)humanity“. In their manifesto they explain: We accept waste as an inherent trait of our species. We take the world how it is and then begin to change it. This is the only way how we can find intelligent and useful solutions to clean our planet.
